To make it easier for you to access our research we are pleased to offer
AME Direct. This application operates on
your computer and allows you to select and view any of our research.
AME Mineral Economics offers detailed economic and technical knowledge
on the metals, mining and energy sectors.
We can tell you about the future viability of each industry or the profitability
of individual mines, smelters, refineries or steel and HBI plants.
This data is accessed by installing AME Direct, which is a Windows application that resides on your PC
and allows for the latest reports to be downloaded to your computer.
AME Direct is:
fast – we utilise rapid packet technology
easy to use – filter tools that allow intuitive navigation
interactive – the Cost Modeller software encourages
you to change key variables "on the fly" and instantly
observe the results. You can also merge datasheets
to compare specific information over a number of
industries
timely – our analysis and data is continually updated
with new releases
portable – our research is stored on your PC and can
be retrieved offline
Installation Instructions

Please note that in order to install AME Direct you will require Administrative access to your
computer system - contact your I.T Department if you are not sure.
Click the Download AME Direct link above.
When you are asked what you would like to do with this file, choose to
Save it to your hard disk.
You will be asked to specify a location to save the file. Save it
to any convenient location (e.g. “My Documents”)
but make sure you remember where you save it. The file is named “AMESetupxxx.exe”
(where xxx is the version number).
When the download is complete, close the Internet Browser window and also
close any other applications that are running.
Find and double-click the file you saved on your hard disk - remember it
is named “AMESetupxxx.exe”.
You will now be guided through the installation process. A folder will
be created on your computer for storing the AME Direct
files, and icons will be created on your Desktop and in your
Start menu.
To start AME Direct, double-click the icon
on your Desktop or select it from the Start menu.
The first time you use AME Direct you will
be asked to enter your current identifying details – i.e. your
email address and password as registered with AME.
